My Beautiful Country

It is early in the morning, the sun tickles the horizon of the African Veld.
Birds sing their morning songs, and the slight breeze feels fresh in the morning sun
In the distance, fear is lurking , a hunter, a fierce Killer on the lookout for its pray; and them it attacks swift and quickly.

BOOM, BOOM.

A gunshot,a scream

A police car passes by, as a woman screams her last breath ; being broken and Raped.
As the day grows brighter , screams become dimmer and the blood starts to Dry.

This is my Beautiful Country .

The Following was an Experiment done during a Period of 28 Days

I dream of an Africa which is in peace with itself.
Nelson Mandela

1994 Nelson Mandela was released and the world was ,amazed at this great man's vision, passion and forgiveness.

Our World have changed and we had peace, in a country that has long forgotten the word.

In years to come we would always remember the good Mr Mandela has done, uniting a Country with sport and good leadership.

We were a proud nation, with best weather nature and people.
Tourist flocked to our country's beauty, weather , people , culture and the big five
- Lion
- Elephant
- Buffalo
- leopard
and  almost extinct Rhino

And then it slowly decayed, and a new big five was introducing itself into our lives

- Rape
-Murder
-Robbery
-Corruption
-Violence

In South Africa a woman is raped every 24 seconds, and 277,012 cases reported in 2010 alone we are slowly breaking records in sexual crimes and becoming the the country with the worst rape in the world

In all Beauty Lies Darkness, a misery of decay as paradise falls into the destruction.

Poverty is the worst form of violence.
Mahatma Gandhi

In 1893 Gandhi  arrived in Durban where he remained for a week before leaving for Pretoria by train, to work for and indian business firm situated in the Transvaal.

During the journey a white passenger complained about sharing a compartment with a 'coolie' and Gandhi was asked to move to a third-class carriage. On his refusal he was forcibly removed from the train at Pietermaritzburg Station.

In the distance, a green tree rattles, its branches shakes, and the earth trembles

An Elephant in all beauty and power graces in the hot sun, where else will you find such beauty,
Maybe elsewhere in Zoo's , but here in the wild, you will find this in My Beautiful Country.

in 1994 Mandela units the Country as he becomes President in the first Non Racial Election, and becomes the worlds best and loved President.

We truly have produced the worlds greatest, and how soon we forget, and neglect the work that they have done to prepare a our path to freedom.

I detest racialism, because I regard it as a barbaric thing,
whether it comes from a black man or a white man.

Nelson Mandela

Over 3000 white farmers have been murdered since 1994.

President Jacob Zuma sang “Shoot the Boer” at the ANC Centenary Celebration event in January of 2012.  He claimed that its use at the ANC Centenary was not intended as hate speech, but rather to commemorate the struggle against apartheid.

independent researchers have compiled accurate statistics demonstrating convincingly that murders among White farm owners occur at a rate of 97 per 100,000 per year, compared to 31 per 100,000 per year in the entire South African population, making the murder rate of White SA farmers one of the highest murder rates in the world.

Incitement to genocide is a crime under the International Convention for the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, to which South Africa is a state-party.

Our hope for the future depends also on our resolution as a nation in dealing with the scourge of corruption

Nelson Mandela

Zuma became embroiled in a corruption related controversy, one of many, after his financial advisor, Schabir Shaik, was charged with corruption and fraud.

He however was not found guilty ,and have urged the country to stop corruption.

Corruption in Southern Africa has become a way of living in South Africa

  •  The South African Arms deal
  • The Travelgate scandal, in which 40 members of parliament were found to have illegally used parliamentary travel vouchers worth R18 million for personal use
  • The Goodwood police station commander, Siphiwo Hewana, was found guilty of attempting to defeat the ends of justice for tampering with the docket for convicted fraudster Tony Yengeni's arrest for drunken driving in 2007
  • Former National Police Commissioner and ex-President of Interpol, Jackie Selebi, was convicted on corruption charges in July 2010, for receiving (at least) R120 000 from alleged crime-syndicate boss, Glenn Agliotti.

Vultures and Hyaena eat away on the roting flesh from the catch the lions made earlier
According to a report released by the PSC, only 35% of all corruption cases reported on the hotline were actually finalised. Looking at this deplorable statistic it is not a surprise that corruption continues to be rife in the public sector

According to the Institute for Democracy in South Africa (Idasa) the levels of corruption in South Africa‘s public sector is at its highest since 1994

In the first eight years (of peace) of the new democratic dispensation, under the ANC, an average of 24 206 murders were committed each year. If the Interpol statistics are accepted, then the murder rate in South Africa during the ANC years has averaged 47 882 per year.

Sounds the call to come together,
And united we shall stand,
Let us live and strive for freedom
In South Africa our land.

In the Distance a bird sings , an eagle shouts as the morning breeze of fresh air sweeps across the land.
A Rhino Walks among the trees.

And then A shot is heard.

in the distance  a baboon screams, birds sings and a rhino lies dead on the grass

When will this war, violence , rape crime stop.
When shall we honour our Visionary s dream.

In the Paradise I live , I see the evil that lurks,
Death , rape, crime, murder
....
Through the evil , I still see a beautiful country
As the lions prowl and the elephants roam free

This will always be my Beautiful Country

The End
